Contractor Document Disclaimer
Effective date: August 29, 2026
BidNail provides templates and tools to help trades contractors create business documents. This disclaimer explains the limits of those documents and your responsibilities as the contractor.
1. Documents Are Tools, Not Legal Instruments Guaranteed to Be Enforceable
Proposals, contracts, change orders, and invoices created with BidNail are provided as customizable templates. We do not guarantee that any document is valid, enforceable, or compliant with the laws, regulations, licensing requirements, or building codes applicable to your trade or jurisdiction.
2. You Are the Responsible Party
- You are solely responsible for the accuracy of all scope, pricing, terms, materials, and timelines in your documents.
- You are responsible for holding all required licenses, permits, bonds, and insurance for the work you perform.
- You are responsible for ensuring your documents meet the legal requirements of your state, province, or locality — including required contract disclosures, cancellation-right notices, and lien-law language.
3. Seek Professional Advice
For contracts of significant value or complexity, we strongly recommend review by a licensed attorney familiar with construction and contractor law in your area. BidNail is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.
4. No Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BidNail is not liable for disputes, non-payment, code violations, penalties, or losses arising from documents you create or the work you perform. Your use of BidNail documents is at your own risk and subject to our Terms of Service.
